- Your doctor may want you to continue taking your medication and may give refills on your prescription. You can tell if you have refills by looking at the bottom left-hand corner of your prescription label on the bottle. It will say "# refills before mm/dd/yyyy."
- Most prescriptions will expire in 1 year from when it is written so even if you have refills, we will still have to fax your doctor for more refills after 1 year.
- *For controlled substances that have a "C" in front of the Rx# the prescription expires within 6 months and has a maximum of a 120 day refill amount. Some "C" Rx# cannot be faxed and require that the doctor write a new hard copy that needs to be brought in (NOT called/faxed).
- *Please DO NOT wait until you are out of medications to order your refills! For most prescriptions you can refill about 5 days before you run out. This way we can give your doctor enough time should we need to fax them.
- We will fax your doctor's office to ask for more refills, however it is up to the doctor's discretion whether or not he/she will authorize additional refills. It also sometimes helps if you as the patient call the doctor's office yourself.
- If your doctor had given you refills and you still have refills remaining within a year of when the prescription was written, you can refill 1 of 3 ways:
